Who can enter?
Entry is open to all permanent residents of ACT, NSW, QLD, NT and TAS, aged 18 years or older. Permit No: ACT R 25/00227
Employees, directors, agents, and their immediate family members of Variety – the Children’s Charity and Spencer Travel are not eligible to enter this raffle. Immediate families include a spouse or former spouse, de facto partner or former de facto partner, child, stepchild, parent, step-parent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, or stepsibling of an employee of Variety - the Children's Charity and Spencer Travel.
I reside in VIC, WA or SA why can’t I enter?
Unfortunately, the gaming rules and regulations in Western Australia and South Australia and are different to the rest of the country. Thank you for your understanding and support of kids in need.
This raffle does not have a permit for Victorian residents.
Why do the tickets cost $25 or $30?
The price of tickets is $30 for a single ticket or $25 each for two or more tickets and there are only 10,000 tickets available in our raffle! You'll not only have the chance to win a Northern Lights experience, valued at $30,000, you'll also be supporting kids in need.

Can I purchase tickets over the phone?
Although we encourage you to purchase the tickets online, yes you can call and purchase tickets over the phone. Please contact Variety NSW/ACT on 02 9819 1000.
Are there limits on the number of tickets that can be purchased?
There are no limits on the number of tickets you can purchase.
I bought ticket/s, why haven’t I received it?
Your raffle ticket/s will be emailed to you as an attachment with your payment receipt immediately after purchase, please be sure to check your junk mail. Tickets are on page 2 of the attachment.

Is the raffle ticket purchase tax deductible?
No, your raffle ticket purchase is not tax deductible as you’re receiving a tangible benefit in return. However, if you choose to make a donation in addition to your raffle ticket purchase, the donation can be claimed as a tax deduction.

This raffle is run by the inhouse team at Variety NSW/ACT to ensure costs are minimised.
Is this raffle legal?
This raffle is conducted in compliance with the NSW Community Gaming Regulation (2018) and all related laws.
How much money goes to Variety NSW/ACT?
Once raffle costs have been deducted, all funds raised by the Variety NSW/ACT raffle go towards funding Variety’s life-changing programs to support children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with disabilities.
Raffle Dates
When does the raffle close?
The raffle closes at 12:00 PM (AEDT) on Wednesday, 7 January 2026 (unless sold out prior).
When and how is the raffle drawn?
Winners will be determined by a random draw, which will take place on 2:00 PM (AEDT) on Wednesday, 7 January 2026 at Variety NSW/ACT, Suite 201, 44 Hampden Rd, Artarmon NSW 2064.
How do I find out who has won?
Winners will be notified via email, phone, and/or social media within two (2) business days of the draw. Their names will also be published on:
- Variety Website
- Other promotional platforms no later than seven (7) days after the draw.
