G'day, I'm Tim, Rider 99, proud dad bod, and soon to be a postie dasher!

From 1–6 November I'm swapping the office chair for a 110cc Honda postie bike and riding six days of country back roads, mountain ranges and coast. We start and finish in Tamworth, going via Glen Innes, Yamba, Lismore, Tenterfield and Inverell. I'm doing it for Variety – the Children's Charity, which helps kids who are sick, doing it tough or living with disability.

Every dollar you give goes straight to Variety. Not my fuel, not my pies.
The kids.

One catch: I have to hit my fundraising minimum before they'll let me on the start line. This year's been a bit of a juggle for me, so your support is what gets me there. The things you don't do are the ones you regret, and I'm not regretting this one.

As only $50 even helps fund therapy support for a child. Any amount gets you my eternal gratitude and dusty photos from the road. Legends only. 🤙🏽

My Updates

Bike 99 is fuelling up and he needs your help

Wednesday 7th Oct
Righto. It's official: I've signed up for the Variety Postie Bike Dash.

Six days. Around 7.6 horsepower (a few of those horses have bolted)
A seat that was never designed for a grown man. And a crew of old mates and new ones who all decided this was a good idea.

I've had a couple of shakedown rides already, and the photos show a man who is very comfortable in hi-vis.

Here's the serious bit. Variety helps kids who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability get the equipment, therapy and opportunities that a lot of us take for granted. Every dollar donated here goes straight to them.

Here's the bit that's on me. I need to hit my minimum before I'm allowed to ride. Money's a bit tight at my place this year, so I'm leaning on my people more than I normally would. I'd rather put my hand up than miss out. The things you don't do are the ones you regret.

I'm currently at $522 of my $3000 target. If you've ever owed me a favour , now's the time to settle up, except it goes to the kids. 🛵➡️👧👦

Cheers,
Tim (#99)
