I'm going on the Variety Postie Bike Dash to support kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disability.

Inspired by the work of Variety - the Children's Charity NSW/ACT I wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in the Dash. 

I have created this page to make it easy for people to help us do exactly that. Please give whatever you can to this important cause. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

Why I'm Taking on My 6th Variety Bash

This year I'll be taking part in my 6th Variety Bash, and I'm just as excited about it now as I was the first time I lined up at the start line.

For those who don't know me, I'm Jay Davey, Vice President of the Australian National Street Machine Association and a passionate supporter of Variety – the Children's Charity. Over the years, I've seen firsthand the incredible difference Variety makes in the lives of Australian children and their families, and that's what keeps me coming back.

The Variety Bash is about much more than driving from one destination to another. It's about bringing communities together, raising vital funds, and helping kids who are living with illness, disability, or disadvantage. Along the way we meet amazing people, visit regional towns, and see the direct impact these donations have on families who need support.

Every Bash has its challenges. There are long days on the road, mechanical repairs, early starts, and plenty of dust. But those challenges are small compared to what many of the children supported by Variety face every day.

One of the things I love most about the Bash is the people involved. Participants, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and local communities all come together with a shared goal of helping Australian kids have the opportunities they deserve.

As I prepare for my sixth Bash, I'm once again asking for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Variety continue its incredible work and provides practical assistance where it's needed most.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years. Your generosity has helped make a real difference, and I'm looking forward to doing it all again in 2026.
