What is Move In May?

Move In May is a fundraising challenge where you set a movement goal and raise funds to help Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT support kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability. 

How do I participate?

Sign up, set your goal, share your fundraising page and start moving throughout May. 

Do I have to be fit to take part?

Not at all. Move In May is designed for all abilities and fitness levels. You choose a goal that works for you. 

What kind of movement counts?

Anything that gets you moving: 

  • Walking 
  • Running 
  • Cycling 
  • Swimming 
  • Wheelchair movement 
  • Dancing 
  • Everyday activity 

Can I join as a team?

Yes. You can take part as an individual or as part of a team. Create or join a team with friends, family or colleagues. 

Teams help keep you motivated and often raise more funds. 

Is there a registration fee?

Yes, a small registration fee of $30 per person applies. This helps cover campaign costs and ensures more funds go directly to supporting kids. 

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible in Australia.

Funds raised support Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW/ACT, helping children access the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
