We're getting out on the road again for kids in need!
Meg and I will be on the Variety Bash again in August 2026. Variety and the Bash have become a huge part of our lives. We do it to support the amazing work of Variety, wanting to give kids in need a fair go!
The Bash is probably the biggest single fundraiser of Variety - the Children's Charity NSW/ACT. We've been supporting them since our first Bash in 1998. 2026 will be Meg's 23rd Bash and my 15th. Each year the Bashers raise around $1.8 million. A great part of the Bash is that we see where some the money raised is used, with donations of much needed equipment or resources for the schools we visit at breakfast and lunch along the route. It's an enormously rewarding 10 days or so, apart from visiting some parts of Australia that we wouldn't normally get to and meeting some extraordinary outback people. True Blue Aussies.
We created this page to make it easy for people to help us in our fundraising efforts for Variety. Our aim each year is to raise at least $30,000 . . . hopefully more. Please give whatever you can to this important cause. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
