Variety Spin 4 Kids x Endeavour Energy

SPIN 4 KIDS x ENDEAVOUR ENERGY IS BACK!

After a successful inaugural event Spin 4 Kids is coming back to Western Sydney, with the fundraising effort expected to be bigger and better.

Join us for 5 hours of friendly competition at Endeavour Energy, 8 Parramatta Square on Friday, 27th September 2024. All in the name of helping kids in need for Variety - the Children's Charity NSW/ACT!

Variety Spin 4 Kids is a 5 hour challenge on stationary spin bikes to raise funds for kids who need it most. You can choose to spin as an individual (if you dare) or rally a team of 1-10.

No matter which path you choose, you'll need to come up with a plan of attack to keep those pedals spinning for 5 hours!  Alongside the worthy cause of changing the lives for kids in need, you'll have a team of highly motivating spin instructors, incredible music and an electric atmosphere to keep you motivated!

We have a limited number of bikes available so don't miss out. Who will be the next Kings or Queens of Spin?

SPIN TO RAISE FUNDS FOR KIDS LIKE GOLDIE

Kelly always dreamed of having a girl, so Goldie felt like a little miracle when she was born. Then one day, when Goldie was just 10 months old, their family GP noticed that something wasn’t quite right. After being referred to a paediatrician, Kelly and Matt were given the life-changing news that Goldie had Rett Syndrome.

“It’s so dreadfully hard, and it just doesn’t end. She cannot walk or use her hands, suffers from scoliosis when she’s in the car, has chest seizures. And then you think you’ve tackled one thing and the next thing pops up. Next, she is having her tonsils and adenoids removed due to severe sleep apnoea. As a parent to a child with Rett Syndrome you hardly ever sleep – it’s like having a newborn.”
Kelly had recently applied for Goldie’s first wheelchair from the NDIS, and while waiting for a decision on her application was encouraged to apply for a vehicle modification for the family car through Variety’s We Move grant. We Move is designed to fill the gaps in funding for kids living with a disability to access life-changing, specialist mobility equipment.
Variety granted Kelly’s application to modify her vehicle to accommodate Goldie’s new wheelchair, giving Goldie more freedom to not only get to her therapy sessions easily, but also join her family on adventures and excursions.
“We wouldn’t be here without Variety, it's just that simple. The red heart means everything to families like ours.”
