Day 0: Our Flinders Ranges adventure begins with a meet and greet upon your arrival in Broken Hill. This outback city, forged by its unique history as a significant mining hub and marked by its enduring spirit, holds a treasure trove of captivating tales from Australia's past.
Day 1: We travel from Broken Hill through to Yunta, an important railway town on the Adelaide to Broken Hill line in the 1890s, it linked the mining city with the South Australian capital. Its railway heritage is seen in many relics around the town. From there we head to the spectacular Wilpena Pound – the heart of the Flinders Ranges. Here we venture out.
Day 2: The next two days will be spent exploring the region near Wilpena Pound. Highlights include experiencing authentic outback life at the iconic Merna Mora Station, a working cattle and sheep property, and discovering the charming historic town of Hawker.
Day 3: We take in panoramic views from Razorback Lookout, with its iconic winding dirt track that frames the Heysen Range. Then delve into Australia's ancient past on the 20km Brachina Gorge Geological Trail, home to fossilised remains and evidence of a meteorite impact. After a relaxing lunch at Leigh Creek, overlooking the scenic Aroona Dam Sanctuary, we'll continue to Arkaroola.

We'll embark on scenic 4WD trails to the vast, ephemeral salt lake, Lake Frome, and have the opportunity to discover the multi-award-winning Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, with its magnificent gorges, towering granite peaks, and diverse wildlife, including the elusive Yellow-Footed Rock-Wallaby.
Day 5: We journey to Blinman, a tiny, historic copper mining town nestled in the hills which also happens to be the highest town in South Australia. From there, our evening will be spent under the stars enjoying authentic Australian Outback cuisine in Rawnsley Park.
