We have three dates and locations available for bringing your vehicle to a Checkpoint session. For any Bash Virgins, there is also the mandatory orientation session at the Newcastle and Sydney venues. Should you be unable to attend either session, Rob will be hosting a final orientation session at the Family Fun Day (FFD) in Dubbo at 1.30pm. Location TBC however likely in the Council building adjacent to the FFD. This will be confirmed nearer to the date and attendance is mandatory for all Virgins.

Jeff Byron our signwriter will be at the Sydney Checkpoint Day – from 8am to midday – to assist anyone who hasn’t put their door panels and associated decals on as yet for a donation. He is not taking any printers or production gear, however, Jeff is happy to quote you for any of your needs in this department then print them and bring them on the day. You can contact Jeff on 0411 770 219 and ask for a quote on what you may require in the signage department.
You can find a full list of car requirements here. Please ensure you have referred to the checklist to ensure your car is ready for Checkpoint Day and reach out to Rob for any clarification. Any cars who may need work, or experience major defects at Checkpoint Day, will have time to complete any changes prior to the Bash. We will work with you to ensure that all works are complete, and a final check done before the Bash. Final checks can be made on the Saturday afternoon in Dubbo at the Family Fun Day. For those having their own mechanic complete the checks, please see attached Mechanical Checklist. Please forward a copy to motoringevents@varietynsw.org.au once completed. In the subject heading please reference CAR **NUMBER** | MECHANICAL CHECKLIST COMPLETED
Bags will be available for collection at the Newcastle and Sydney Checkpoint Days, so it is crucial you confirm your attendance. Alternatively, bags will be available for collection from the Sydney office from Monday 29 July. No bags will be handed over until all Provisions are paid, mechanical checklist completed (including rego and insurance papers) along with valid WWCC (or state equivalent) for all crew.
